Children learn to interact socially in a monitored, loving environment. Parents of our students recommend our facility to their friends and enroll younger siblings to share in the safe, loving, family-oriented program.

“The greatest sign of success for a teacher... is to be able to say, “the children are now working as if I did not exist.”” -Maria Montessori

Countryside Montessori is a State Licensed Childcare Center serving the community since 1983. The majority of people choosing our school as the place to have thier children do so through the recommendations of satisfied parents.

History of Countryside

Countryside Montessori was opened in the fall of 1983 in an attempt to provide a quality child care program for toddlers and preschoolers. From its inception Countryside has grown from one toddler and one preschool class to a full program encompassing children from 3 months to 7 years of age.

Countryside serves the greater Seattle Area including the communities of Juanita, Bothell, Woodinville, Redmond and Bellevue. We make it possible for families to go to work and leave their children with quality caregivers.

Countryside is a a Montessori school that also incorporates new information about early learning. Since our school began there has been incredible new discoveries about learning styles & personality styles which have influenced our program. We will continue to adjust as more inormation becomes available.

The generation that we are working with are generally more privileged & entitled groups, unlike Montessori's Students who lived in abject poverty.

Countryside participates in the community supporting local businesses and hosting training workshops for child care related events for teachers and adminsistrators throughout Washington State.

Our Mission

Countryside Montessori is guided by the fundamental values of Maria Montessori. Her educational system fosters independence, self-control, and a positive self-concept.

The child's learning is primarily from voluntary work with carefully prepared learning materials. It is our goal to help children enjoy themselves while enhancing their social, creative, and intellectual growth.

Our environment entices the child to discover, explore and learn. Countryside welcomes children of all races, and creeds.
